RAW APPLE CAKE | |
1 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. shortening 1 egg 1 c. buttermilk 1 tsp. baking soda 2 c. flour 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. salt 1-1 1/2 c. raw apples, diced Mix well. Fold in apples to batter. Pour into 9x13 pan and sprinkle top with mixture of 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Rhubarb may be used in place of apples. |
