CARAMEL RIBBON BARS | |
1 reg. size yellow cake mix 1/2 c. chopped walnuts 1 (5 1/3 oz.) can evaporated milk, 2/3 c. 1/4 c. butter, melted 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate morsels (optional) 1/2 c. caramel or butterscotch topping Combine cake mix and walnuts. Stir in evaporated milk and melted butter. Spread about half in a greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven. If desired sprinkle with chocolate pieces over hot crust. Drizzle with caramel topping. Drop remaining cake mixture by teaspoonfuls over all. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool on wire rack. While still warm loosen from the sides of the pan and cut into bars. (A chocolate cake mix may also be used.) |
