BROILED CRAB OR SHRIMP MELTAWAYS 
1 pkg. of 6 English muffins
1 (7 oz.) can crab meat, well drained OR 1 can shrimp (lg. or med.)
1 stick butter
1 (6 oz.) jar Old English Sharp Cheddar Cheese
2 tbsp. mayonnaise
1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
1/2 tsp. garlic salt

Slice English muffins in half, then cut into fourths and arrange on 2 cookie sheets. Mix remaining ingredients well in small bowl at medium speed. Spread on the English muffin quarters. These can be made up to a few weeks ahead of time and kept frozen until ready for use.

Freeze them a minimum of 30 minutes, even if you will be serving them the same day. When ready to serve, broil them until they puff up and are bubbly and slightly golden brown. They take just a few minutes. Serve hot.

Makes 48 appetizers.
