MRS. HOWARD'S BAKED CABBAGE 
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. milk
4 to 5 c. coarsely cut cabbage
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 lb. longhorn cheese, grated
1/4 lb. processed cheese, grated
1/2 c. Cornflakes

Make white sauce with butter, flour and milk. Stir constantly until thickened about 10 minutes. Salt and cook the cabbage in very little water until tender. Drain well. Grease baking dish, alternate layer of cabbage, layer of chesses and white sauce. Top with layer of cheese, sprinkle with Cornflake crumbs. Bake 350 degrees until ingredients are heated through and cheese is brown. Makes 6 servings.
