TO FREEZE SWEET CORN 
16 c. corn
1/2 to 1 stick butter
4 c. water
1/2 c. sugar
3 tsp. salt

Shuck and brush corn. Cut kernels from cob. Mix above ingredients. Heat and cook 1 minute. Cool and fill into cartons or Ziploc bars and freeze.

A friend gave us 8 dozen ears of corn which I promptly forgot. After sitting in our basement for four days, I finally remembered. I set the day aside to freeze the ears and kernels. After tasting them I realized I'd waited too long. I just couldn't throw them out, so I tried the above recipe and the corn is great! I froze the mixture in 1 quart freezer bags. This recipe saved my day!

I mixed all the ingredients except the corn and heated until the sugar was dissolved; then added to corn. Tastes like fresh!
