I found this recipe yesterday after searching for a tuna noodle casserole recipe without canned soup. I made it as is. The only difference was I added a bag of frozen peas into the noodles the last 2 minutes of cooking. This was excellent, reminds me of my childhood.

My sister-in-law gave me a Betty Crocker cookbook for a Wedding Gift in 1973 when I got married. This is an excellent Tuna Noodle Casserole, the best I've ever made. There are others in the cookbook that are very good as well, but this is the best. The cookbook is getting a little ragged around the edges but I will never let it go.

It was salty. It may have been the bread crumbs I used.

Very good ... I used old bay instead of salt and pepper and canned salmon instead of tuna and crumbled potato chips instead of bread crumbs!!!! I've looked at probably 1000 recipes for can salmon today and this is simple and a great base I'm sure it would be good with canned chicken too!

I picked this recipe because I was looking for a tuna casserole without soup. I added some sautéed onion and garlic and a can of peas. Overall a quick and easy recipe that tasted really good. I will make this again but with added sautéed mushrooms and a bit more salt for my taste. Thank you for sharing this!

I liked this because it didn't use canned mushroom soup. I did add a handful of fresh mushrooms, some onion powder and cheddar cheese. On top I added a handful of mozzarella. It was very tasty and I will be making it again. I probably could have sauteed a few onions and the mushrooms together then added them into the mix. It made a 9x9.
