1/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. lukewarm buttermilk
1/2 c. melted butter
5 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Let rise in warm place until double in bulk, about 1 hour. Punch down, shape rolls, place in greased pan and let rise again until double in bulk. Bake about 20 minutes at 400 degrees.

To freeze, bake until very light brown. Cool. Put in bags in amount needed at one time. Freeze. To serve, place on greased cookie sheet, thaw, bake at 400 degrees until golden brown. Serve hot.
