TEXAS COLESLAW | |
1 1/2 lb. cabbage 1 med. onion 1/2 green pepper 1/4 c. sugar 1/2 c. salad oil 1/2 c. vinegar 1 tbsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. dry mustard 1 tsp. celery seed 1 tsp. salt Chop or shred cabbage. Place in bowl with finely chopped onion and pepper. Sprinkle 1/4 cup sugar over. Toss lightly to blend. In saucepan, combine rest of ingredients and bring to a boil. Pour while hot over cabbage mixture. Toss to mix. Cover and chill for at least 4 hours. |
