GINGER SNAPS 
3/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. molasses
2 1/8 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger

Cream shortening, sugar and egg. Add molasses. Sift flour, soda, cinnamon and ginger. Add to above mixture. Chill thoroughly.

Roll into 1 inch balls. Dip in sugar and place on cookie sheet, sugar side up. Bake at 350 degrees 10-12 minutes. Loosen from cookie sheet while hot.
