GINGER SNAPS 
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar (packed)
1 egg
1/4 c. molasses
2 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. salt
Sugar

In large bowl; mix well shortening, brown sugar, egg and molasses. Then add flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and salt.

Dip top of rounded teaspoonsful in sugar, place on cookie sheet sugar side up. Bake in 375 degree oven for 10 minutes.
