TACO SHEPHERD'S PIE
2 lbs ground beef
2 cans refried beans
4 cups instant rice
sour cream
shredded cheese of choice
8 tablespoons taco seasoning
Alternatives for taco seasoning
4 tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
1 tsp. dried oregano
2 tsp. paprika
6 tsp. ground cumin
4 tsp. sea salt
4 tsp. black pepper (optional)

Cook the ground beef and season with 4 tablespoons taco seasoning. Place into 15x10 glass cake pan. Spread a thin coating of sour cream over the top.

Heat the refried beans up and add them on top of the sour cream, being careful to try not to spread it anymore. Add another thin layer of sour cream on top.

Cook the rice, when finished mix in the 4 tablespoons of taco seasoning. Add water very slowly until the taco seasoning is fully mixed in. Probably 1/8th of a cup will be enough.

Spread this over the top of the last layer and cover this layer with about 1/2 cup shredded cheese. Bake in the oven at 350°F for 20 minutes.

Enjoy!
