PEGGY'S LASAGNA | |
1 box lasagna noodles 1 lb. ground beef 1 (16 oz.) pkg. Mozzarella cheese 1 (16 oz.) pkg. Monterey Jack cheese 2 (8 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese, softened 1 lg. jar Prego spaghetti sauce 1 sm. can mushrooms 1 sm. onion, chopped 1 sm. green pepper Add mushrooms, green pepper and onion to spaghetti sauce, after browning and draining ground beef. Also cook your noodles; drain and let cool. In a 13 x 9-inch cake pan or deeper dish pan, layer sauce first, then noodles, then cream cheese and Mozzarella cheese. Next layer, alternate with Monterey Jack cheese. Do this until you have 5 of 6 layers, saving some Monterey Jack or Mozzarella cheese for top layer. Cover with foil. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Serves 8. |
