LASAGNE - POOR MAN'S WAY | |
1 1/2 lb. ground chuck or round (very lean) 1 1/2-2 lg. jars Prego meat sauce 1 sm. can tomato paste 1/2 tsp. salt (optional) 1 tsp. pepper 1 pkg. lasagne noodles (lg.) 8 oz. mozzarella cheese 8 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese 1 1/2 c. extra Parmesan cheese mixed with 1 egg beaten well 1 sm. container lite ricotta cheese Brown meat and pour off any fat. Add to Prego, stirring well. Add tomato paste, salt and pepper. Then add your Parmesan, egg and ricotta mixture. Stir all well. Cook noodles as directed. In large baking pan add layers of sauce, noodles and cheeses, ending with cheeses on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Freezes well. |
