SWEDISH CANDIED NUTS 
2 egg whites
1 c. sugar
1 lb. salted nuts (mix some unsalted in) (use peanuts - Virginia and/or Spanish)
4 to 6 tbsp. butter

Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Add sugar and beat until blended. Stir in nuts until all coated.

Melt butter in large shallow pan. Spread nuts. Bake for 30 minutes at 325. Stir every 10 minutes. Let cool.

Makes 2 1/2 to 3 cups nuts.
