STUFFED PORK CHOPS | |
4 (1") pork chops (or 8 - 1/2") 1/2 c. bread crumbs 1/4 c. green pepper, chopped 1/4 c. water 1 sm. onion, chopped 1 stalk celery, chopped 1 piece green onion, chopped Garlic powder (just a little) Salt & pepper to taste 1/2 c. flour (for dredging) Mix seasonings and water in a bowl. Dredge pork chops in flour, after seasoning them, and cut pocket in each chop. Stuff pocket with seasoning mixture, securing open edge with toothpicks. If using thinner chops, dredge out sides of two chops placed together and put portion of mixture between chops, securing all around with toothpicks. Place in a slightly greased baking pan and bake in a 400 degree oven until they start to brown, then add a little water and cover, lowering the oven to about 350 degrees. Bake for about 2 hours or until tender, check occasionally to add water if needed. |
