FRENCH BREAKFAST PUFFS 
1/3 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. flour, sifted
6 tbsp. melted butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Mix together butter, sugar and egg; set aside. Sift together baking powder, salt, flour and nutmeg.

Mix together the dry ingredients into the wet and stir in alternately the milk. Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full.

Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in a preheated oven at 350°F.

Immediately after removing from oven, roll muffins in the butter, then the sugar with cinnamon.

Makes 12 muffins.
