NUT BRITTLE 
14 oz. nuts
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. light syrup
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Butter large cookie sheet. Cut nuts in half. In 10 inch skillet combine sugar, 1/2 cup water and syrup. Cook over medium heat until golden brown. Stir in nuts and cook until medium brown. Remove from heat. Stir in butter and soda. Pour on cookie sheet and cool.
