GEORGIA BREAD PUDDING
1 c. sugar
1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
2 c. whole milk
4 egg yolks
1/3 c. butter, melted
1/3 c. raisins
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/8 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
9 slices white bread, cubed

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix sugar, milk and egg yolks together thoroughly. Add melted butter, raisins, vanilla and spices; mix. Add bread cubes to mixture and toss to saturate bread. Pour mixture into a buttered 8x8 inch baking dish. Bake for 25 minutes, until pudding is lightly browned and set. Allow to cool before cutting. (It gets firmer and is easier to cut when cool.) Cut into squares and reheat slightly in the microwave before serving, if desired. Yield: 8 to 9 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
