PEACH PRESERVES 
4 c. sliced peaches
3/4 c. chopped maraschino cherries
4 c. sugar
3 tbsp. lemon juice

Mix the above ingredients and let set in refrigerator overnight. Next day place over fire and bring to a rolling boil; add 1 tablespoon butter and continue to boil for 15 minutes. Remove from heat, skim and put in jars; seal. About 3 or 4 pints.
