Can I use olive oil for this recipe?

It's not the best brownie recipe I've ever experienced; but it's good. I used hot cocoa mix though, so that could be a factor. I also felt 30 minutes was too long in the oven and ended up pulling the pan out at about 27 (leaving the edges somewhat crispy but the center that perfect chewiness). In all honesty, I think that (some) boxed brownies are easier and cook slightly better, but this is definitely an overall good recipe.

More like a fluffy chocolate cake then true brownies. Would try to go with actual chocolate than cocoa powder. Added a powder sugar glaze.

My family was wanting something sweet, and I needed to practice my cooking because I'm getting older. All these ingredients were lying around my house, and let me tell you they tasted delicious!

These brownies were so easy to make and yummy. I took a jar of caramel ice cream topping and drizzled it on top and swirled it in and then baked it. Mmmmmm..yummy goodness :)

I just made these using coconut oil, and I added two shots of espresso as well. To balance out the extra liquid I used 1 cup of flour instead of 3/4 cup, and 6 tbsp of cocoa instead of 4. They're in the oven right now, but based on how good the batter tasted, these might be the best brownies ever.

Wasn't my favorite brownie recipe I did less time to make sure they didn't come out dry and they didn't turn out the way I thought they would they were definitely not gooey..I am going to try to find another recipe.. Happy baking :)

I didn't have any vanilla, so I mixed milk, cinnamon, and sugar together instead. Mine turn out perfectly! They were very moist and tasty. I'm very happy with this recipe.

Best brownies ever! I added a little of milk and I used coconut extract instead of vanilla.

I made these last night for my girls. They don't often ask for special things, and with us on a VERY tight budget, these fit the bill! They were AMAZING! Since we didn't have nuts in the house, I jsut omitted them. I can see where these will become a party favorite!!! Thank you cooks.com!!!!

I love this recipe. The first batch I made turned out cakey because I beat the eggs too much and baked them for 35 minutes. The second time I was determined to make fudgy brownies so I only slightly beat the eggs, used a little less flour, more cocoa and sugar, and oil instead of butter. I baked them for 28 minutes and they turned out just the way I wanted them! Next time I plan on adding chocolate chips to make them even more delicious.
