GINGER SNAP COOKIES 
3/4 c. shortening (Crisco)
1 c. white sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. molasses
2 c. flour
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda

Cream together shortening and sugar. Add egg and molasses. Add remaining ingredients. Form mixture into small balls about 1/2 inch. Roll into granulated sugar. Place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
