BEEF BARBECUE ON BUNS 
4 1/2 lb. lean roasted beef, thinly sliced or shredded
1 c. chopped onions
2 tbsp. vinegar
1/4 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 c. water
1 pt. chili sauce
1 tbsp. salt
1/4 tbsp. pepper

Brown onions in shortening. Add all ingredients except meat. Simmer slowly 20 minutes. Reheat the meat thoroughly in the sauce before serving. Serve on buns.
