1 box yellow cake mix
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
1 c. sugar
1 (3 oz.) pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix
1 c. flaked coconut
1 (8 oz.) carton prepared whipped topping
1 c. chopped pecans

Bake cake mix as directed in 9x13x2 inch pan.

Meanwhile, simmer pineapple and sugar. Remove cake and punch holes in cake and cover with pineapple. Chill. Mix instant pudding as directed on box. Add coconut, spread over pineapple. Cover with topping and sprinkle with nuts.
