OLD FASHIONED RAISIN CAKE 
1 lg. box raisins
3 eggs
1/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. buttermilk
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt

Soak raisins in water for 2 hours then grind in blender. Beat eggs well. Add sugar and shortening. Beat until well blended. Add raisins and remaining ingredients. Add flour, spices, soda and powder. Alternate with buttermilk. Bake 350 degrees approximately 45 minutes. Test.

FROSTING - CHOCOLATE:

3 c. 10x sugar
6 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. melted butter
3 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. milk

Beat all together until smooth. Add 1/4 milk at first. Add a little more at a time if too stiff. Frost cake when cool.
