1 c. Quaker Oats (uncooked, quick or old-fashioned)
1 (6 oz.) pkg. (1 c.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1/3 c. butter
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour

Beat butter until creamy; gradually add sugars, beating until fluffy. Blend in chocolate. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add oats to mixture; blend well. Sift together flour, soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture, blend well. Pour batter into well greased and floured 9" square baking pan. Bake in pre-heated 350 degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
