PICNIC CAKE 
1 3/4 c. boiling water
1 c. uncooked rolled oats
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Grease and flour a 13 by 9 by 2 inch pan and preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pour boiling water over the oats and let stand 10 minutes. Add sugars and butter to oats, stir until butter melts. Add eggs and mix well. Add flour, soda, salt and cocoa to oat mixture. Add half the chocolate chips. Pour into prepared pan. Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips over top of cake. Bake 40 minutes or until cake tests done at 350 degrees. Needs no frosting.
