“PEANUT BUTTER SWIRL BARS” IS IN:

PEANUT BUTTER SWIRL BARS 
1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
1/3 cup softened butter
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 eggs
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Mix peanut butter, softened butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar. Add eggs. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Stir until blended.

Spread into a 13x9x2-inch greased baking pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the surface.

Bake in preheated oven for about 5 minutes (or until chocolate chips are mostly melted; remove from oven and swirl a spatula through the batter to marbelize.

Return to oven and bake for another 30 minutes or until done.

Cool and cut into bars.

I have made these a couple of times this week. Everyone loves them. Easy to make and so tasty. The only thing I did differently was I baked them about five minutes less than the thirty because we like them moist.

This is a family classic! Glad to find it here since my recipe box is still packed away somewhere as we just moved. We only bake the bars 10-12 minutes after marbling, until the edges and top begin to turn golden. This way the bars are still moist. Any more than that and they would be quite dry!
