BANANA NUT BREAD | |
2 1/2 c. flour 1 c. sugar 3 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 3 tbsp. salad oil 3/4 c. milk 1 egg 1 c. finely chopped nuts 1 c. mashed ripe bananas (2 to 3) If self-rising flour, omit baking powder and salt. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 9x5x3 inch loaf pan or two (8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/4 inch) pans. Measure all ingredients into large mixing bowl. Beat at medium speed 1/2 minute scraping sides and bottom of bowl constantly. Pour into pan. Bake 55 to 65 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from pan and cool before slicing. |
