PINE VALLEY RED HOTS
2 tbsp. Promise butter
1 lg. onion, chopped (1 c.)
1/2 c. chopped celery
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. prepared mustard
12 turkey frankfurters (about 1 1/2 lbs.)

Melt butter in large frying pan. Saute onion and celery slowly 10 minutes, or until onion is transparent and celery almost tender.

Stir in tomato sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, salt and mustard; cover; bring to boiling; reduce heat; simmer 20 minutes to blend flavors.

Add frankfurters; simmer, covered, 15 minutes longer to heat through. Baste once or twice during cooking.

Arrange frankfurters on heated platter; spoon barbecue sauce over; sprinkle extra diced onion and chopped celery over top, if desired.
