MOLASSES PUFFS 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 c. molasses
1 egg
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. hot water
Pinch of salt
1 c. flour

Cream sugar, add butter, add egg, and mix well, add molasses and hot water. Mix soda, salt and flour together, and add to other ingredients. Pour into gem tins and bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. More flour may be added until mixture is the consistency of cake batter. Serve hot.
