4 c. flour 1 c. sugar 2 tsp. cream of tartar 2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 lb. butter, at room temperature 2 eggs and milk to make 1 c. 1 c. raisins or berries Sift dry ingredients and add butter. Cut in until well mixed. Add eggs and raisins or berries. Mix by hand only until dry ingredients are wet. Some times a tiny bit of milk needs to be added if too dry. Spoon onto greased sheet. Bake at 310 degrees for 20 minutes. Makes 12 to 16. |
