STRAWBERRY VANILLA PUDDING TART 
9 inch baked pie shell
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
1 egg
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. whipped cream
1 c. fresh strawberries, sliced
Whole strawberries

In saucepan combine sugar, cornstarch, salt and milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring. Boil one minute. Beat egg and add one tablespoon of hot mixture. Then add egg mixture to hot mixture. Continue cooking until mixture thickens. Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla. Whip cream until soft peaks form. Fold into mixture with strawberries. Pour into pie shell. Chill. Garnish with whole berries.
