PEACH DESSERT 
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
3 c. sliced peaches and juice

In small mixer bowl cream shortening and sugar. Sift together flour and baking powder. Add alternately with milk, starting and ending with dry ingredients. Pour into a slightly greased 9 x 9-inch pan. Spoon fruit and juice over batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
