MAMA'S CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 
1 1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. cake flour
1/2 c. cocoa
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. sweet milk

Cream Crisco and sugar together. Add eggs, beat after each egg. Sift flour and cocoa and salt together. Add milk and vanilla. Mix well. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hour.

FROSTING:

2 c. sugar
6 tsp. cocoa
1 stick butter
Dash salt
1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. Karo syrup

Mix together and bring to a boil. Cook hard 2 minutes. Beat until creamy.
