4-5 lbs. boneless brisket 1 can beef consomme 1 (5 oz.) bottle soy sauce 1/4 c. lemon juice or 1 tbsp. vinegar 1 tbsp. liquid smoke 2 tbsp. Worcestershire Garlic to taste Combine ingredients and pour over meat. Marinate overnight. Bake in same liquid in covered dish at 300 degrees for 1 hour per pound. Baste occasionally. During last hour remove cover and garnish top with 1/4 cup barbecue sauce. Increase temperature to 350 degrees for the last hour. Slice across grain and serve with marinade as gravy. |
