PUMPKIN AND SPICE BREAD 
2 c. sugar
1 c. oil
3 eggs, lightly beaten
1 (16 oz.) can pumpkin
3 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
3/4 tsp. salt
Powdered sugar

Blend sugar and oil well with electric mixer. Beat in eggs, one at a time, and continue beating until light. Add pumpkin; blend.

Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt into creamed mixture. Beat at low speed until blended.

Pour batter into greased pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until lightly browned. When done, leave in pans for 15 minutes on wire rack. Remove from pans and cool completely on wire rack. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Makes four 6 x 3 1/2 x 2 inches or two 9 x 5 x 2 3/4 inch loaves.
