POPPY SEED AND NUT ROLL 
2 c. melted Crisco
6 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. salt
1 c. warm milk
7 c. flour
1 lg. yeast
1/4 c. warm water

Very wet dough. Put dough in cloth and tie. Put in pot half full of cold water for 2 hours. Bake at 350 degrees on greased cookie sheet. Brush with canned cream.

POPPY FILLING:

1 lb. ground poppy seed
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. melted butter
1 1/2 to 2 c. scalded milk
2 eggs, beaten well
1 tsp. vanilla

NUT FILLING:

1 lb. ground nuts
1 to 1 1/2 c. scalded milk
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. butter, melted
3/4 c. sugar
