At 74 years old I have been baking cookies a long time. I prefer cooking to baking as I have fits with measurement but today I made this batch of cookies & they are by far the BEST cookies I have ever attempted to make. Moist & yummy. I used some candied pineapple & green & red cherries for the fruit & a combination of walnuts & pecans for the nuts. Not sure if my measurements were exact but the results were great. Thanks

This is one of the best fruitcake cookies I have ever eaten. The key is to add a little vanilla and a little orange extract or juice like a teaspoon. I used dried cranberries in place of the raisins and pecans and mixed candied fruit.. Very moist
