CANDIED FRUIT CAKE COOKIES 
1/4 c. butter
3/4 c. lite brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
1/4 c. evaporated milk
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
Dash of nutmeg
1 c. candied fruits
3/4 c. raisins
1 c. pecans, chopped

Cream butter; add sugar and beat until fluffy. Add egg; milk and lemon juice; mix well. Reserve 1/4 cup flour. Sift remaining flour, soda, salt, and spices; stir into creamed mixture. Mix reserved 1/4 cup flour with fruits, raisins, and pecans. Add to dough. Drop by teaspoonfuls on cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Yield: 5 dozen.
