BATTER FOR ONION RINGS 
2 eggs, separated
1 c. flour
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2/3 c. milk
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt

Beat egg yolks with milk. Add flour, butter, salt and lemon juice. Fold in beaten egg whites. Slice onions and soak in salted water until ready to fry. Drain well.
