BREAD PUDDING 
2 c. bread cubes
1 qt. milk
2 eggs
1/2 c. brown sugar
Salt to taste
Nutmeg
Vanilla
2-4 tbsp. butter
Raisins or apple slices

Beat 2 eggs slightly. Add sugar, salt, nutmeg and 1 teaspoon vanilla and butter. Add bread cubes. Heat milk and pour over all ingredients and mix together. A cup of sliced apples or raisins may be added. Bake in a casserole at 350 degrees for 75 minutes. A small container of water can be placed in the oven while pudding bakes, but removed towards end of baking time so top can brown and be made crisp.
