TERIYAKI RICE 
Add a teriyaki touch to barbecued or roasted meats or poultry with this flavorful rice side dish.

2 c. water
1/4 c. sliced green onions
1 tbsp. instant beef bouillon
3 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tbsp. dry sherry (optional)
1 clove garlic, minced
2 c. quick-cooking rice
1/2 c. sliced water chestnuts
1 (6 oz.) pkg. frozen pea pods

Combine water, green onions, beef bouillon, soy sauce, sherry and garlic in 1 1/2-quart microwave-safe casserole. Cover with casserole lid.

Microwave (high) 5 to 6 minutes or until boiling. Stir in rice, water chestnuts, and pea pods. Cover.

Microwave (high) 7 to 8 minutes or until rice and pea pods are tender, stirring once.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
