TERIYAKI MEATBALLS & FRIED RICE
1-1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1 large egg
1 12 oz. jar of thick Teriyaki sauce
1 packet fried rice mix
(the instructions for the rice will be on the seasoning packet, it will explain how to make the rice)

In a large bowl, mix together; ground beef, bread crumbs, and egg.

Form the mixture into one inch diameter balls. Let them chill in the refigerator for about an hour.

Start making the rice as instructed on your Fried Rice Mix Packet. Let the rice chill in the refrigerator as well.

In a large non-stick frying pan, brown the meatballs.

Add the jar of Teriyaki sauce to the meatballs, bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 30 minutes.

Finish making the rice as instructed.

Serve meatballs, and fried rice, and enjoy.

Teriyaki Meatballs & Fried Rice

Great idea to use meatballs for a change up! A helpful hint: Fried rice should always be made from cold, dry rice. Make the rice a day ahead and spread it on a cookie sheet to dry for a couple of hours. Put it in an uncovered bowl in the refrigerator overnight and prepare fried rice the next day. It won't be as sticky and will make better fried rice.Plus it saves you time when making your meal.

Thx for the info. I did make fried rice and it came out kind of mushy. I will definitely try doing it your way.
