PUNCH BOWL CAKE 
1 box Duncan Hines butter cake mix
2 (5 oz.) boxes instant vanilla pudding
2 (21 oz.) cans cherry pie filling
2 lg. containers Cool Whip
2 (8 oz.) cans crushed pineapple, drained
4 or 5 sliced bananas
1 c. chopped pecans
1 jar maraschino cherries

Bake cake as directed. Crumble half of cake in punch bowl. Mix pudding as directed. Pour half of pudding over cake in punch bowl. Add one can cherry pie filling. Add 1 can pineapple and a layer of sliced bananas. Add half of Cool Whip and half of nuts. Repeat layers starting with cake. Top with cherries and nuts.
