BIG CHOCOLATE CAKE 
2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 c. cake flour, sifted
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. sour milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 level tsp. baking soda
1 c. boiling water

Cream sugar and shortening together, add eggs and cocoa. Alternately add cake flour with sour milk; add soda in the boiling water (add it last). Put in greased and floured 9 x 12 inch pan and bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. It is a nice moist cake. Put on your favorite icing when cool. Serves 12.
