4 cups stone ground oats
1 cup almonds
1 cup sunflower seeds
1 cup sesame seeds
1 cup coconut
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup lecithin
1/2 cup soy flour
1/2 cup powdered milk

1/4 cup water
3/4 cup peanut or canola oil
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup light brown sugar

Optional:

cashews
pecans
raisins
dates
dried apricots
dried pineapple
dried cranberries

Place dry ingredients in a large bowl and toss until well mixed. Place coating ingredients in a medium sauce pan on stove top and over medium heat cook until sugar dissolves. Pour liquid over the dry ingredients and toss until well coated. Spray cooking spray on a large cookie sheet and dump mixture on the pan, spreading evenly.

Bake at 250°F for 2 hours, turning every 30 minutes.

Note: If optional ingredients are used, dry ingredients like nuts should be added in the beginning. Dried fruit should be added and mixed in the last 30 minutes of cooking time.

WOW! This is a great recipe, makes a lot of granola, tastes terrific. I added mini-marshmallows with the dried fruit, and everyone LOVED it! Good in baggies to hand out at Halloween; and at Easter in place of junky candy. TRY THIS ONE! YOU'LL LOVE IT!
