1st layer:

1 box yellow cake mix
1 stick melted butter
1 egg, (beaten)

Topping:

1 8oz box of cream cheese
2 eggs (beaten)
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups brown sugar (1/2 pound)

Optional:

coconut and/or nuts

1st Layer: Mix together cake mix, melted butter, and egg. Pat into 9 X 13-inch pan.

Topping: Mix together cream cheese, eggs, vanilla extract and brown sugar. Pour over 1st layer of batter.

Bake in 350°F oven for 45 minutes.
