ONION RINGS 
1 c. plus 2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 c. milk
2 tbsp. salad oil
6 medium onions

Mix together flour, salt, egg, milk and salad oil until dry ingredients are moistened. Cut onions into slices 1/4-inch thick. Separate into rings. Coat onions with mixture. Fry in hot oil at 375°F.
