2 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco
4 eggs
2 1/2 c. applesauce, unsweetened
1 c. raisins
4 tsp. baking soda
2 tbsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
4 tbsp. cocoa
4 c. flour
2 c. nuts

Cream sugar and Crisco; add eggs beating after each. Add applesauce and raisins. Sift all dry ingredients and add. Add nuts and vanilla. Bake in greased and lined loaf pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour and test.
