MA CREWS' CHOCOLATE SHEET CAKE 
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 sticks butter
1 c. water
3 tbsp. cocoa
2 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift flour, sugar, salt and cinnamon. In saucepan put butter, water and cocoa. Bring to a boil and pour over flour mixture. In another bowl put eggs, baking soda, buttermilk, and vanilla. Add to above. Mix well. Bake in a shallow pan (15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch). Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

ICING:

Start icing last 5 minutes cake is baking.

1 stick butter
3 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. pecans (optional)
6 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 box confectioners' sugar

Mix butter, cocoa, milk in saucepan. Heat over a low flame, do not boil. Remove from heat. Add sugar, pecans, vanilla and mix well. Frost cake as soon as removed from oven.
